Official Announcement: SLTF Application Portal Now Open for Tertiary Students in Ghana

Accra, Ghana – The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) is pleased to announce that its application portal is now open for the 2024-2025 academic year. The SLTF is a government-backed initiative designed to provide financial assistance to students pursuing higher education in Ghana.
The Students Loan Trust Fund is a public institution established under the Trustee Incorporation Act 1962, Act 106, to provide financial resources for the benefit of students and to promote and facilitate the national ideals as enshrined in Articles 25 and 38 of the 1992 Constitution. It is to replace the SSNIT Students Loan Scheme. The Students Loan Trust Fund Act 2011, Act 820, has been passed by Parliament of Ghana.
Eligibility Criteria:
All students who have gained admission into any of the accredited tertiary institutions in Ghana are eligible to apply for the SLTF loan. The loan is designed to support students in meeting their tuition fees and other educational expenses.
Important Update for Existing Applicants:
Existing applicants are informed that the disbursement of old funds is currently ongoing. The SLTF assures that each qualified applicant will be attended to in due course.
Requirements:
Any Ghanaian student in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana studying an accredited program can apply for the Students Loan Trust Fund.

- Have a personal email address.
- Register for an e-zwich card.

Application Process:
- Create an account on the platform.
- Apply after the creation and activation, complete the loan application form.
- The loan will be processed once you have successfully filled out all the requirements and uploaded all the required documents.
- Use a computer to do this process for easy access when uploading your documents.
- Your application will be reviewed by the SLTF board for approval and disbursement in few weeks time.
- No gurantor is needed here.
