Breaking: Willie Williams Athletics Championships Postponed
We regret to inform you that the Willie Williams Athletics Championships has been postponed. The event was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, 8 February 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Accra in the Greater Accra Region.
Reasons for the Postponement:
Venue Unavailability: The Legon Stadium has already been booked for another event on the same date.
Athletes Participation: Many of the athletes are currently competing in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Games in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
Team Preparations: Some teams are still in the process of finalising their squads and need additional time to be fully prepared.
Statement from Race Organiser, James Thompson:
“I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We understand the importance of this event to all participants and stakeholders. The new date for the championships will be announced soon. Thank you for your patience and support.”
