Ghana Mountain and Trail Federation Certifies Route for 2025 Absa Black Star Marathon
Accra, Ghana – July 3, 2025 – The Ghana Mountain and Trail Federation (GMTF) has officially certified the route for the 2025 Absa Black Star Marathon, a milestone that underscores Ghana’s commitment to elevating its road racing standards to global levels. The certification covers both the full marathon and 10km races, marking a significant step toward aligning Ghana’s athletic events with World Athletics’ stringent criteria.

The certification ensures that the 2025 Absa Black Star Marathon meets international standards, providing local distance runners with the opportunity to achieve World Athletics qualification times on home soil.
