I am ready to play if Otto Addo calls me – Joseph Pantsil
LA Galaxy forward Joseph Paintsil has clarified the nature of his relationship with Otto Addo, stating that it is much better than people might assume. Speaking to 3Sports, Paintsil said, “Otto Addo and I share a good and positive relationship, contrary to what some people might believe. We are in regular contact—he even texts me to check in and ask how I’m doing. I don’t have any issues with him, and I’m confident he doesn’t have any issues with me either. We genuinely maintain a friendly and professional rapport.”
“I am always committed to the national team. It’s a blessing when you are called to represent the national team. There are many players, so if I have been chosen to represent my country, why won’t I be committed?” he added.
He later explained that it is the sole decision of the coaches to make the selection of players that they want. They are the players that are fit for every game, and he is always ready even if the coach gives him 2 minutes or 5 minutes of playing time.
“The decision is always based on the coaches. They decide on who needs to play and who needs not to come in. They know the right moment for a player to be subbed or be in the starting XI. I don’t mind if I can play for 2 minutes or 5 minutes. I am always ready and committed,” he ended.
