Matheus Cunha has put an end to rumors that he may leave Wolverhampton Wanderers by signing a new contract till 2029.

On Saturday night, Wolverhampton Wanderers announced that Matheus Cunha has agreed to a new four-and-a-half-year contract to remain at Molineux. After being linked to a transfer to Arsenal in recent weeks, the 25-year-old has already scored 11 goals this season, and the deal puts an end to uncertainty over his near future.
The club confirmed the news on their official website on Saturday evening.

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira hinted that the player would not be departing in January in remarks made following the game.

Cunha has the conscience that it is very important, if he leaves, to leave the club in the Premier League. Again, he has this quality. He is a special player. He has the quality to get the ball and create a goal alone.”
However, the manager explained to Sky Sports that the striker might want to move on in the summer, explaining, “The last conversation we had, he said to me, ‘I will help the team to be in the Premier League next season, and then at the end of the season we will see.’.
