The McCoy College of Education Freshers’ Games have been officially scheduled to take place from the 20th to the 21st of February 2025. This mandatory sporting event has long been a cherished tradition at the McCoy College of Education, serving as a platform to identify and nurture emerging athletic talents who may subsequently be integrated into the college’s official sports teams.
The Freshers’ Games will encompass a wide range of sporting disciplines, ensuring inclusive participation for all students. As part of the activities on Friday, February 28th, a general cross-country race will be held immediately after the first games. This highly anticipated event offers exciting prizes and incentives to encourage participation and competitive spirit.
Both events will be hosted at the Nadowli McCoy College Campus in the Upper West Region. The top ten finishers in the cross-country competition will receive prestigious awards, including cash prizes, certificates, and souvenirs. The prize structure for both male and female categories is as follows:
- 1st Place: ¢100
- 2nd Place: ¢70
- 3rd Place: ¢50
- 4th – 10th Place: ¢20 each
