Two-time world indoor champion Nicola Olyslagers delivered a flawless series to win the women’s high jump on Day 1 of the Wanda Diamond League Final at Zürich’s Sechseläutenplatz. The Australian set an Oceanian record of 2.04 m, clearing every bar from 1.91 m to 2.04 m on her first attempt.

World and Olympic champion Yaroslava Mahuchik cleared 2.02 m on her second attempt to equal her world-leading mark but failed three times at 2.06 m, missing out on a fourth Diamond Trophy. Morgan Lake broke her own British record with 2.00 m to secure third on countback ahead of Yulia Levchenko.

Olyslagers: “Today I had peace inside my heart, and I knew something was going to change. I’ve been chasing 2.04m for years and finally achieved it, with the Diamond Trophy on top. What a day!”
