The Borteyman Sports Complex was buzzing with energy and excitement yesterday morning as cyclists from different backgrounds gathered to compete in the 6th Edition of the Cross Country Mountain Bike Race. The event officially kicked off at 9:00 a.m., bringing together over 30 cyclists — men, women, and children — all eager to test their endurance, skill, and determination on the challenging course.
The day began with the kids’ race, which set an energetic tone for the competition. Young riders pedaled with confidence and enthusiasm as parents and supporters cheered them on. After several exciting laps, Victor Nana Yaw Dwamena claimed victory in the male kids’ category, while Tunteeya emerged as the winner in the female kids’ category. Their impressive performances earned loud applause and admiration from the crowd, proving that the future of cycling in Ghana looks bright.

After the children’s segment, attention turned to the adult race, where the competition intensified. Riders took on the course with speed and skill, navigating each stretch with focus and determination. When the dust settled, Prince Kudjofia rode his way to victory, finishing 1st after a commanding performance. Foster Dove followed closely, earning second place, while Ernest Asamiah displayed resilience and control to secure third place.
