Tizza Football Gala: Promoting Unity, Health, and Talent
The Tizza Football Gala, affectionately known as the Christmas Tournament/Championship, is a unique event in Ghana’s Upper-West Region. This annual gathering brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds, providing a platform for youths to showcase their skills and talents.
Objective
The gala aims to promote good health, peace, and unity among the Tizza people. It also coincides with the anniversary celebration of the Chief of Tizza’s enskinment, His Royal Highness Nnaa Bawayele Nayale Dakurah lll.
Support and Endorsements
The Chief of Tizza has bestowed his blessings upon the second edition. Hon. Cletus Seidu Dapilah, Member of Parliament, has pledged to elevate the tournament. Additional support has been pledged by Dr. Samuel Dery, lecturer at the University of Ghana’s School of Public Health, and Professor Calistus Tengan, lecturer at Bolga Technical University.
Organization
Mr. Gaspard Dodaa, Chairman of the Planning Committee, has ensured thorough preparations. James Thompson Anlaaminge, organizer, invites corporate bodies within Jirapa Municipality to sponsor this initiative, empowering local youths to showcase their talents.
