The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international has teamed back up with his former Brighton coach Graham Potter, who replaced Julen Lopetegui at West Ham last month.
This season, Ferguson has made 13 Premier League appearances, primarily as a substitute. “I feel really happy about being here today and seeing the stadium,” he remarked. “I am aware of West Ham United’s size.
It was a big opportunity for me to come here. I know the gaffer well and look forward to working under him again. I want to come in and do my best for the club, score goals, and see where we get to.”

“Seeing the stadium and being here today, I’ve got a very good feeling. I can see and know how big West Ham United is. It was a big opportunity for me to come here. I know the gaffer well and look forward to working under him again.

When Ferguson made his debut in the 2022–2023 season, he was considered one of the Premier League’s most promising young forwards.
His form saw him nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, and he scored his first career hat trick against Newcastle in September 2023.
But Ferguson has struggled for minutes this season under Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler, starting just twice in the Premier League and scoring only one goal.
Potter, the manager of West Ham, said, “I am thrilled we were able to bring Evan in on loan until the end of the season.”
“He’s a player we know very well, so I’m grateful to the board for bringing him in.
“He’s got plenty of quality attributes as a striker that we believe will benefit the group for the coming months.
