Ghana Athletics Coaches Commission to Organize Elite Coaching Clinic Ahead of Dean Hayes International Athletics Classic
The Ghana Athletics Coaches Commission, in collaboration with Ghana Athletics, has announced an Elite Coaching Clinic aimed at enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of athletes and coaches across the country. The clinic forms part of preparations for the upcoming Dean Hayes International Athletics Classic and is expected to provide participants with valuable insights into modern coaching and performance techniques.
Scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, the event will take place at the University of Ghana, Legon, bringing together coaches, athletes, and athletics enthusiasts for a day of intensive learning and practical development.
The clinic will focus on four key disciplines in track and field:
Long Jump
Triple Jump
Sprints
Hurdles
According to the organizers, the program is designed to sharpen technical abilities, improve coaching methodologies, and prepare athletes for high-level competitions, including upcoming international qualifying events.
Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of GH₵300.00, which covers a branded T-shirt, lunch, and a participation certificate. However, organizers have noted that accommodation will not be provided. A registration link is expected to be released soon for interested participants.
