Why Are Ghanaians Silent About These Young Champions?

By Athletics Notch Tv

While the nation continues to debate the disappointing performances of the Black Stars, another group of Ghanaian athletes has quietly made the country proud on the international stage.

Our U18 and U20 athletes at the just-ended 2026 CAA Region II Athletics Championship in Dakar, Senegal, with medals around their necks. Every athlete on the team won a medal, a remarkable achievement that deserves national recognition and celebration.

Sadly, their success has received little attention, while discussions remain dominated by football’s disappointments.

These young athletes are the future of Ghanaian sports. They have shown discipline, determination, and excellence while proudly raising the Ghana flag. They deserve the same headlines, support, and admiration that we give to our football teams.

It’s time to celebrate all Ghanaian sporting achievements, not only when it is football. Our champions in athletics have earned their flowers.

Congratulations to Team Ghana for a remarkable achievement.
