The 2025 marathon will begin at the Nkawkaw Goil Filling Station, a familiar landmark for returning participants. Runners will then make their way through the Nkawkaw township, offering a mix of urban energy and community support. From there, the course ascends into the mountainous terrain, leading athletes through the scenic town of Obomeng and culminating at the prestigious Kwahu Traditional Council grounds in Mpraeso.

The GMTF’s involvement adds a layer of credibility and professionalism to the event, and their certification is expected to attract both local and international runners looking for a unique and challenging mountain marathon experience. The Kwahu Mountain Marathon has grown steadily in popularity over the years, combining athletic endurance with the natural beauty of the Kwahu highlands.

Organisers believe this year’s race will be the most exciting yet, with enhanced route safety measures, support stations, and community involvement. The sixth edition promises not only to test the limits of endurance athletes but also to showcase the cultural and geographical richness of the Eastern Region.
