The Ghana Mountain and Trail Federation, led by its General Secretary, W01 Moro Salifu, is thrilled to announce the first-ever Ghana Mountain and Trail Run. This historic event, scheduled for Saturday, 1 February 2025, marks a significant milestone in Ghana’s sporting history. The race will commence at Oyarifa and culminate at the Methodist Basic School near the iconic Peduase Lodge, promising participants a challenging yet exhilarating experience.

 

 

Speaking to Richportal TV, W01 Moro Salifu highlighted the uniqueness of this event, emphasizing that it is the first of its kind in the country. “The nature of the Aburi Mountains and the breathtaking landscape will make the race very interesting. We encourage all athletes, sports clubs, and fitness enthusiasts to register and take part in this historic event,” he stated.

 

 

The Federation is extending an open invitation to all sports clubs, fitness groups, and individuals passionate about athletics to seize this opportunity. This event provides a platform to test endurance, showcase talent, and be part of a groundbreaking moment in Ghana’s sports history.

 

 

The Aburi Mountains, with their rolling hills, scenic trails, and lush greenery, offer a perfect setting for this race, making it as enjoyable as it is competitive.
