SWAG announces the 49th Awards Gala Night candidates

Grace Mintah and Rose Yeboah Amoanimaa compete for the top prize at the 49th Sports Writers Association of Ghana Awards in 2024.
The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), the umbrella body of Ghanaian sports journalists, has announced nominees for the 49th edition of the most prestigious SWAG Awards.

The SWAG Awards celebrate sports excellence and the oldest award program in Ghana. Since 1975, it has continuously recognised the efforts of those involved in sports development and given top-performing athletes and women awards.
The 49th edition will be held in the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, January 24, 2025, at precisely 6 p.m., according to a statement signed by Charles Osei Asibey, the Association’s general secretary.

The statement said over 80 top-performing athletes and officials within the year under review who contributed to results and the development of sports have been shortlisted for honours. SWAG announces the 49th Awards Gala Night candidates.
