Kwahu Mountain Marathon Fixed For April 4
The 2026 Kwahu Mountain Marathon is set to deliver another thrilling edition as athletes from across Ghana and beyond prepare to conquer the challenging terrain. Scheduled for 4th April 2026, this 7th edition promises excitement, endurance, and rewarding competition in the scenic Kwahu mountains in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Organized by Marathon Foundation Ghana in collaboration with the Kwahu Traditional Council, the event features a 21km race for professional athletes and a 4km race for corporate bodies, encouraging both elite runners and fitness enthusiasts to participate.
Attractive prize packages await competitors, with winners in both male and female categories receiving GH₵7,000 for first place, GH₵5,000 for second, and GH₵3,000 for third. Additional cash rewards will be given up to the 20th position, alongside products from sponsors.
The Kwahu Mountain Marathon continues to grow as a major sporting event, promoting health, tourism, and community engagement in Ghana.
