Baba Seidu Mamoudu’s 400mH National Record Ratified, Ranks Him 8th in the World – Ghana Athletics
Ghana Athletics has officially announced that World Athletics has ratified the remarkable performance of Baba Seidu Mamoudu in the 400m hurdles, where he recorded an impressive time of 49.45 seconds at the Ghana Athletics Cape Coast Open Championship.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Ghana, as it stands among the finest performances ever recorded by a Ghanaian athlete in the event. It further underscores the country’s rising prominence on the global track and field stage. With this time, Baba Seidu positions himself among the world’s top 400m hurdlers, reflecting the growing depth of talent being nurtured by Ghana Athletics.
The Executive Board of Ghana Athletics has expressed pride in this recognition, describing it as a testament to dedication, hard work, and progress within the sport.
Looking ahead, Baba Seidu Mamoudu is set to build on this success as he prepares to represent Ghana at the upcoming African Senior Athletics Championships in May, which will be held in Ghana, as well as the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in August.
