The men’s 4x400m relay final at the 24th edition of the CAA African Senior Athletics Championship delivered one of the most thrilling races of the championship at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra, as Zimbabwe emerged victorious in a fiercely contested battle among Africa’s top relay nations.

Zimbabwe powered to gold with an impressive time of 3:01.114, holding off strong challenges from Kenya and Morocco in a dramatic finish that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final meters.

 

Kenya secured the silver medal after clocking 3:01.344, while Morocco settled for bronze with a very close time of 3:01.35. The race highlighted the growing competitiveness of African sprint relay teams, with only fractions of a second separating the podium finishers.

Botswana finished fourth in 3:02.38, followed by Senegal in fifth place with 3:02.86. Nigeria placed sixth after recording 3:03.84, while host nation Ghana crossed the line in seventh position with a time of 3:05.13.
